NCC Montenegro and NCC Hungary (KIFÜ) had a very interesting discussion today about various training opportunities. KIFÜ representatives expressed their interest in Open Academy training courses that were offered to high school students. We discussed possibility to collaborate in some future training events.

HPC NCC Romania, in cooperation with HPC Competence Centers in Montenegro, Portugal and the Netherlands, is organizing training training session (online) in HPC technologies.
Training event will take place on the 26th of May 2022 starting with 09:00 AM (10.00 AM UTC+3). Draft agenda is avaliable at link.
Lectures will cover : – basic aspects of HPC technology (parallel computing), as well as technical details about accessing HPC resources and the libraries / paradigms used;
– practice session – hands-on exercise, by directly accessing the SURF-NL Supercomputer (Netherlands) from your laptop, which aims to exemplify the use of HPC and apply the concepts in the first part. These exercises will provide access to an HPC-type infrastructure.
In the first part of training, Luka Filipovic, NCC Montenegro, will speak about load balancing algorithms in parallel computing applications.
For the second part of the session, access credentials are needed in the supercomputing system. Participation is free and subject to a limited number of participants.
You will receive the access credentials, as well as the link of the online session, only after registering through the registration form on https://roncc.ro/eurocc-events/hpc-training-event-may-26-2022/. EuroCC organized first F2F meeting at Frankfurt on 28.04.2022. Partners, who had worked together for more than a year online, met together and presented achievements of all participant countries in area of HPC, HPDA and AI.
NCC Montenegro participated in the meeting and discussions on the implementation activities. Sanja Nikolic and Luka Filipovic presented the accomplishments of Montenegrin team. In the second part of the meeting, the participants agreed on the next steps in the project and further cooperation.

We have implemented a very successful round table event with panel discussions on HPC/AI and its relation to priorities identified in Montenegrin S3, namely agriculture and food production, health and tourism, and energy. We had panelists from Slovenia, Bosnia, Serbia and Montenegro. The event is organized by EuroCC NCC Monteengro in collaboration with NCC Slovenia. The agenda is available by clicking the following link.

The event took place at the UDG, in a full amphitheater AS on Saturday, 26.02.2022. The panelists gave interesting presentations, considerations, presented project results, and there was a very interesting discussion and Q&A session at the end. The event was attended by students, professors, and industry representatives. The event was advertised locally and nationally via national news portals.
